After graduating with an M. A. (Advertising) at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia and having secured a Bachelor's Degree in Arts with a Major in English Literature in 2003, Bombay University, Mumbai, Kinjal decided to specialize in making words twist, turn and speak louder than actions.

As a filler between studies she worked for 4-5 months at goodhealthnyou followed by two years at Multimedia Aquarius, both ad agencies located in Mumbai. Her passion as a wordsmith started with much appreciation from bosses and clients alike.

An adventurous streak took her to Singapore where she worked with AGI Communications, an advertising agency, followed by Asia Pacific Connections. A strong desire to move onto the other side of the fence led her to Singapore Institute of Management where she worked as part of the corporate communications team. A move back from Jakarta led her back to the field she likes working in i.e. education. Kinjal currently is part of the brand communication team at Singapore American School.

As a filler between writing she listens to U2 and reads Alice Walker, Oliviero Toscani… her favourite creative people.
